And Jessica, a religious young woman, has little compassion for her beleaguered roommates. Jen is being bombarded with affection by a coworker. Elly is pregnant and unsure of the path she should take. In “Sunday on the Rocks,” four very different housemates decide to deal with their varied problems one Sunday morning in October with a healthy dose of scotch. It’s our goal for recreational, aspiring and current professional dancers to feel comfortable and supported while in our space.Ever feel like having scotch for breakfast? The student-produced extension of the West Virginia University School of Theatre & Dance season – LAB Theatre – will present its first fall show, “Sunday on the Rocks” by contemporary playwright Theresa Rebeck, Oct 25-27 in the Vivian Davis Michael Laboratory Theatre located in the Creative Arts Center. Sac Dance Lab enforces a positive, judgement-free environment for dancers of all levels to grow and realize their potential. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! OUR CULTURE In early 2017, this place was just a dream. We went from holding classes in the dead of winter inside a warehouse, to sharing a campus with the Atrium 916, and now having our longterm home. To our students, thank you for having the faith in our dance method, our culture and the local dance community! You’ve all created the most wonderful energy in our space making it a place people look forward to coming to. Thank you to our performance teams for their genuine enthusiasm to entertain, grow and support local arts! These dancers illustrate the diversity of Sacramento, while demonstrating the potential to reach all audiences through dance. Photography Credits: could not be more proud of the creativity, collaboration and dedication from each of our instructors over the last (almost) six years.
